The relationship between Turkey and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is witnessing positive development in the field of tourism, supported by the enhancement of cooperation in economic, commercial and investment relations between the two countries.
Turkish Finance and Treasury Minister, Mohammad Shimshak, confirmed Turkey’s ability to contribute to the realization of the ambitious tourism goals of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, taking advantage of the non-overlap of tourism seasons between the two countries. Meanwhile, the President of the Turkish Travel Agencies Association (TURSAB), Feruz Bagli Kayya, pointed to the fruitful cooperation between TURSAB and the Saudi Tourism Authority, emphasizing the importance of travel agencies and tour operators in developing tourism.
Kayya praised the visa facilitations provided by the Kingdom to attract more tourists, highlighting the organization of informational meetings in several Turkish provinces and participation in the international tourism exhibition held in Jeddah.
As expressed by the President of the Turkish Tourism Investors Association, Oya Narin, she has conveyed her support for enhancing the tourism industry between Turkey and Saudi Arabia, emphasizing the initiation of cooperation and the exchange of expertise with officials in Saudi Arabia.
The Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, has expressed his optimism regarding the increase in the number of Saudi tourists visiting Turkey, with the hope of welcoming one million Saudi tourists by the year 2024.
The Turkish-Saudi Investment and Business Forum is being held in Istanbul, where official statements are being made expressing the desire of both countries to develop tourism between them. This development serves as a positive indication for enhancing economic and touristic cooperation between Turkey and Saudi Arabia in the upcoming period.

The Turkish Minister of Treasury and Finance, Mehmet Şimşek, stated, “Saudi Arabia has significant tourism goals, and Turkey can assist in achieving these goals as our tourism seasons do not overlap. The tourism season in Turkey is during the winter, while our season in Saudi Arabia is during the summer and autumn.”
This development indicates the continued and enhanced mutual tourism relations between Turkey and Saudi Arabia, aiming to establish a strong and advanced tourism industry in both countries.
